I Have Two New Kids In My Life!!

Yesterday, when I got back from running errands, I walked through the door to see a box on my kitchen table. My husband said it was left on the deck and he brought it in out of the rain. “It must be your Raggedy Ann’s Debbie!”…he said. He knew I was excited about getting a gift that I had won from Dawn at C & G Design just a few days ago!! The box had these wonderfully colorful flower stickers on it! It was very neatly packed and so much so, I felt bad tearing into as quickly as I did!! Obie was very curious about my excitement and wanted to inspect it, once I got the box open!DSC04221 Sorry for the blurry photos….still! Here they were in the box, nice and comfy, laying atop their Raggedy pillow!DSC04222 What’s this mom?? New friends I can play with? Is it for me…me….me!DSC04223 No Obie…down boy! These lovelies are mine…all mine….you can sniff but no chewing or biting! Aren’t they adorable all curled up in their box they traveled in? Next they had to be taken upstairs to their new home in the Adirondack homemade chair I got at the dump a few years ago. Although I sanded the doggy bites on the handles of the chair, they still have remains of the chewing….but that’s ok….I love the chair. One by one they came out of their box from their previous loving home to mine….DSC04228 DSC04229 Raggedy Ann….then Andy….then their adorable pillow…DSC04230 It was so cool to get a look at Dawn’s redwork in person! I have been watching her make insects and animals for some time now and to see one in person was awesome! She does excellent work!! Into their new chair the pair went with their pillow….DSC04224 DSC04225 DSC04226 DSC04227 Don’t they look like they have always been right there? I think so. Thank you Dawn for having this wonderful giveaway! Your babies made it safe and sound and seem to be very happy here! I am hoping that future grandchildren (some day “sigh”) will be playing gently with them in my upstairs room!! How exciting is that? I’m a lucky girl…..Now I think I need to repaint and re-sand that chair. It needs a new Raggedy color….dontcha think? Not only were these packed well, Dawn sent me the sweetest card along with these dolls that she so lovingly made by hand. This girl has so much talent! Thanks again Dawn...I am honored to have your dolls and to be your blog friend.

Oh Debbie, they are just adorable! And that pillow...look at the meticulous stitching on it. Dawn is not just a craft Goddess, she is one special gal! Ann & Andy look perfectly at home in their little chair...glad they made the journey without any problems. PS: Are we in June? I'm not sure, cause I am FREEZING! Take care, hugs, Kathleen

Aww, they look so cute in the little chair....cute and cozy. Tell Obie the cat hairs are free! Try as I might my Maine coon thinks he is as big(little)as a mouse and I find him scrunched in the weirdest spots, although he wasn't to bad with Ann and Andy. They do look really cute! I know they will be taken good care of.
52 degrees at 8 o'clock last night, I agree, what happened!?
