Oh my……..I missed another blog entry! I felt it nagging at me several times during the day but I just got too busy. I am not even sure how many people read this or really care to but it seems to have become somewhat of a ritual for me. I was reading about blogs, this early morning, after reading GOODOLDBEANS early entry. Apparently there are many different types of blogs that I did not know about. Most blogs are primarily textual, although some focus on art and are called Artlog. Photograph blogs are called Photoblog, and Sketches are called Sketchblogs and Videos are called Vlog. There are more! Music blogs are Mp3blogs and Audio is called Podcasting. Micro-blogging is another type of blogging. It consists of blogs with very short posts. Is that what I do? Hmmmmm?
They claim that a typical blog combines text, images and links to other blogs, web pages and other media related to its topic. The actual term “blog” comes from the two words (web log) and I guess they just left out the W and the E and shortened it to Blog. The word Blog is also a verb, meaning to maintain or add content to a blog.
Did you know that we are all blogging in what they call a blogosphere? It is a collective community of blogs. Since all blogs are on the internet, by definition, they may be seen as interconnected and socially networked. A collection of local blogs is often called a Bloghood. Is that like blogging in the hood? There are many blog search engines apparently such as Bloglines, Blogscope, and Technorati. There are blog communities and directories like MyBlogLog and Blogcatalog.
Did you know that there are “Fakeblogs” that companies create as a marketing tool to promote a product? Well I guess I was able to fill in some space in my Blog today with bits of maybe useful, maybe not so useful information and I will sign off with that. See you all in the Blogworld tomorrow! There are som many different sorts of blogs! I like to klick on the banner on top where it says nwxt blog. That was how I found Good old beans and I think that was one of the best things that I found in the blogworld. When I found that blog I then found Yours! Without the blog I would never have met any of You and my life would then be a bit poorer I think.

Lordy! Sweet Lordy, my friend ... All those blog realms and specializations and pictures by the thumbnails and what-nots by the fist-full! I am just - barely just scrapping by the seat of my worn sweatpants trying to learn how to understand what a blog is all about ... Well, here we are, doing our best in winter's slump before March (the worse) and April's promise of warmer weather, garden planning, and lots of outdoor projects!
Me? I have no green thumbs - mine are blue.
