Love that song…..

I am still having problems getting to some of your blogs but will be addressing that soon. We have been busy lately and I plan on catching you up with some of the crafts I have been working on….so darned cute…some of them. I am making mouse pincushions and crocheting some purses for friends and children for xmas. My niece sent me an email the other day from Ft. Lauderdale. She’s a great girl and I am always thrilled to hear from her by email or phone because we don’t get a chance to see each other that often. In the email was a version of that old song Sara Smile, originally done by Hall and Oats in a duo. I’ve always loved that song….haven’t you? In this version, it is sung by a guy named Jimmy Wayne and my GOD does he blow me away with his version!!! Sooooo bluesy and quite close to Hall and Oats in range as well. I tend to like the beginning better but he really rocks on his version of Sara Smile…..check it out…….

What do you think? This song was in my head all day after this…….

Be back soon with craft photos……………………………………..hopefully before Halloween!!

Hi Debbie! Oh, you're such a dear voting for me and all! I know I'm not going to win but it's okay. I enter every give away I can. :)
Can't wait to see your crafts you're making.
Now about this song! I love this song and I love Hall and Oats, or I used to. Love their music. This little Jimmy Wayne is really very good, isn't he? I think he has a great voice and I'm sure Hall and Oats might be a little jealous if they heard him! He's a cutie too! :0
Take care!
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

... Ahh, James Walker, your CD's can come live w/me any time you want! Great range like sun-warmed spring waters ... Leave it to a Landry to know exceptional talent when they hear it. Love, GeeGee

The above comment was a test by hubby. It would appear that I cannot leave comments on blogs that have the comment section embedded into the blog. If it opens in the form of a pop up like mine does I can. It's a setting on your dashboard that you can change. So...Far Side...my friend I cannot comment on yours as much as I have tried repeatedly unless it is in popup form. Drives me crazy. So...I guess for now I will comment here....which I can do now thanks to hubby. Thanks for all your comments by the way. The beauty of music is that there are so many different types of it. We all have our favorites and by the way I like most all of them....oldies as Far Side mentioned and just about anything except for Rap and Opera I guess. I will continue reading all your blogs and if I don't comment...now you know why...sorry.:(

Hi Debbie, my mail on the laptop is acting strange, it won't let me in, grrrr! I have to go to the dinosaur if I want any cummuncado!
Anyway, I think my daughter thought I lost it when she found me singing along with this song, it envokes so many memories as I was in the seventh grade and finding myself, HA! At least trying to. I agree with you, the beginning of this song is better.
I can't wait to see what you've made! I'm running low on ideas.

Hi Debbie. Thank you for your visit. I always appreciate your visits. Somehow on my laptop and I use Firefox, I can't get the Adobe Flash to work and I can't see your video!
You have fun this Saturday.

Shelia ;)

Jimmy Wayne opened for Brad Paisley here in WPB a few weeks ago. D1 and I had VIP seats. I blogged about it. I had never heard of him before that night but once he started singing I realized I had heard his songs. Loved, Sarah before and now.
