It is finally St. Paddy’s Day and all will be celebrating in the big city of Portland and beyond tonight! For most of us it means a meal of corned beef and cabbage and for others something quite different. For some it will be a big night to party and drink like they have never drank before and for others it is just another day. I am not Irish but I know a LOT of Irish people!
The two places I have always wanted to travel to are Ireland and Hawaii. Ireland seems to just pull me in when I see photos. One of my all time favorite books is Angela’s Ashes….written by an Irishman named Frank McCourt. If memory serves me right, I think he was from Limerick. The Irish are fun loving people who always seem to be full of life and love. So…Happy St. Paddy’s Day to all my friends and in-laws who are Irish today!
And here’s an Irish Blessing for you all….
May you have:
A world of wishes at your command
God and his angels close at hand
Friends and family their love impart,
And Irish blessings in you heart.
And my all time favorite………………………..
Beautiful Ireland

Happy St Patrick's Day Debbie! Hugs, Kathleen
One more holiday down and one more step closer to spring. If you ever cross the sea and go to Ireland then may be at the closing of the day
you can watch the moon come up in Dubland and see the sun go down on Galoway bay.
Just had to say something Irish dont ya know......
Hi Debbie and it's so very nice to meet you! I'm so glad you came over and hope you'll continue to visit me! Your Mom has a blog too? I think that's fantastic.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
I'm late but happy St. Patrick's Day to you.
