This is a temporary feeding station for Baby and Obie in the kitchen. They eat together every morning and night, just like this, side by side. Today it was on this old rag of a rug. Behind the rug is a paint table temporarily folded up against the wall. Up against my front door is this… I hope there isn’t a fire cause we aren’t going anywhere fast! Since we are in the middle of finishing the beams, Bobbie wanted to make sure we had wiring put in them for our surround sound system we are purchasing at some point. He was thinking ahead as usual. Here’s the left beam above…. And the right. This will be concealed and eventually a speaker will go on each beam. Our finish boards are not on the sides of the beam yet. We are looking at lots of crown molding. The doors and frames got all painted and put back. WE purchased new door knobs yesterday, along with many more items…..another hundred or so dollars spent at Lowes! Boy do these doors brighten up our house! This is my Indian popcorn I grew in my garden this year! Aren’t they cute? I made 4 swags. These three hang on my deck and then I have another here… on my back door. I love the colors. I guess the corn won’t get popped! I also took a dark oak framed bulletin board that has hung in my kitchen for way too many years and gave it a makeover. You can see it kind of in this old kitchen picture hanging above the calendar in the left of the photo. See it covered with all those papers? Here it is now all girlied up….but before I show you, I have to tell you I had to blur out all the names and numbers on there so it looks weird!! Oh well….you get the idea? All those crazy white lines are me blurring out with the paint program. Not very good job! These cards are from two of my best girlfriends.. Can’t wait to hang it back up. Do you think it’s an improvement?
Back on my diet and I have already lost 6 pounds. Weigh in is tomorrow and I am thinking I may stay the same…..you know why? I did well most of the week….until this happened….. One of our customers stopped by and gave us these.BIG candy bars. His company makes the racks that hold these in the stores and he got them free. I can’t tell you how good that white chocolate coconut one was!! Oh my freaking God you have to try it! These are all new to the public. White coconut, chili, and sea salt. The only one I didn’t eat yet is the chili….it’s in the freezer calling my name each day……The sea salt is very strongly chocolate…deep chocolate and good. The white coconut is just plain addicting if you like white chocolate….my God who doesn’t?
Happy Fall to Ya’ll!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

...OMG! I won't know your NEW home! I'll probably stand at the door taking off my shoes while you rush to stop me! Trust me, I'll feel better in my stockings checking out your beautiful home! Then, into Bob's rocking chair where I can relish your kitchen and dinning rooms w/a wide sweep of my eyes! The white doors and light wall colors gives each room a look of space and elegance! My admiration and praise to you and Bob for your relentless pursuit in achieving your goal - BRAVO! Much love to both, AliceM/Mother ...
Having gone through a few renovations, I know it's a pain, but I also know it's worth it!
BUT, Chli chocolate?????? I don't know about that one. Let us know.
Debbie,
The answer to your question: go to this site - www.linkwithin.com. There is an easy tutorial there and the next thing you know, you'll have it on your blog.
I have a suggestion. I couldn't answer your comment with an email because you don't have your email linked into your comments. I think you can easily adjust that in your settings if you want to. I have all my comments sent to my email and if someone asks a question and their email address is there, I can easily respond.
If you have any questions about how to do it, just drop me a line!
Hope all is well, my friend.

Hi Debbie!! Love all the pictures. Your dog must be very well behaved, because if I fed my pup and the cats next to each other like that, my cats would starve because the puppy would eat all of their food first!! Little rat.
I hear ya on the Lowes thing - I could spend a fortune there easily. Course, then I'd probably have to spend another fortune getting somebody to do the work because The Cajun, well he'll "get around to it one day" otherwise LOL!
Love the board! I think it's a big improvement, though plain ole cork is good too.
Hope you have a wonderful week!!
Looking good!
I love the board but I especially love the fact baby and obie eat together!
Hi Debbie! Oh, your kitchen is coming along beautifully! I know you're ready to get it all done!! That's so cute seeing Baby and Obie eating so sweetly side by side!!
You did good on your board.
Thanks for popping in to see me and good for you loosing weight! I just stay my fluffy little self.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
... Hi, I just had to view your photos again! You and Bob made the doors look like brand new! Also, Bob's dinning/living rooms wiring for his speakers is a grand idea ... Both of you are creating a brand new home! I can appreciate and relish the changes in each room! Okauy, off to my novel - Yesterday, hit a'dry wall' - Today I feel more alert. Luv ya ... AMB aka GG ...
Alice/GeeGee:...Thanks my friend! You have always been such a cheerleader in my life. I don't know what I would have done without you sometimes...thanks for your support.
Eva:...Thanks!
Elenka:...Oh you are so right! A pain but definitely worth it. Kind of like child birth!! Ha! And the chili chocolate will stay in the freezer for a while I think. I'll let you know if I cheat and what it tastes like!
Claudia: Thanks so much for that link!! I haven't looked in my dashboard to see if they offered anything? I will be using that link this weekend...probably with my husbands help! As far as the email...I was being careful when I first started this blog. Things have changed now and I may consider that now! Thanks for the suggestion....I need lots of them!
Mary:...Well now..I am sorry for being misleading about Obie and Baby. I have to sit in a chair while the two eat or Obie will gobble up Baby's food half way through. When he is done, I make him go lay down and wait. She hardly ever finishes hers, so he gets to be the cleanup man on command! Love that remark you made about the Cajun! I can just picture someone saying that with a southern accent! That's a riot. Thanks for remarking on the board. The more I look at it, the more I think it looks kind of high schoolish...oh well.
Dawn:...I just explained some of that in the above comment but it is cute to watch! She also grooms him in front of the heater in the morning. She thinks he's her baby I think!
Sheila:...Oh my God that's so cute! Your fluffy little self! I love that. Thanks for coming by and I am sorry I couldn't make the kitchen makeover party!
