A Surprise…..

Hello All…..Just popping in to say I am still alive and well. We survived the holidays and doing fine. I am taking a break from blogging for a couple more weeks. Meanwhile I wanted to show you what my husband surprised me with for my birthday. A little old man knocked on my door and said…. “Are you Debbie?”  … “Why yes I am”…I said. He then handed me these gorgeous spring flowers. They were so gorgeous I had to take many photos of them. When I got them the tulips were closed. After a couple days they opened. This photo was taken yesterday, January 5th.DSC05492This one is dark but here….take a look at these….    DSC05493     DSC05494

DSC05495     Aren’t they beautiful? Makes me think of spring.  DSC05496 Those tulips are such showoffs!! Standing so tall and proud like that! I wanted you also to see the lovely daisies and purple status and ferns that are taking a backseat to the lovely tulips!! I am soooo enjoying these flowers. It makes me think I need to have fresh flowers in the house at all times! Do you do that?? Happy New Year to you all and thanks for stopping by. You are all near and dear to my heart and I think of you often. I’ll be back soon….

Happy Birthday!! What a sweet husband. Oh yeah, I'd like to have fresh flowers in the house all the time, my wallet doesn't cooperate.
Last year I put some pine springs in some water along with some winterberries from the side of the road. They lasted a LONG time....weeks!! I changed the water now and then. That's the closest I'll get to fresh flowers, but it does look nice this time of year.
